The Conference

The conference aims to become a meeting place for breeders and producers, catering entrepreneurs, representatives of tourism companies, chefs, recognized academics and scientists from Greece and abroad, food and travel bloggers, international tourism agencies of alternative tourism and the general public who wants to know innovative ideas and products and experiment with new flavors and experiences.

 The conference will be developed around two main pillars.

The first pillar will be the promotion of the indigenous breed of shorthorn cow, highlighting it, as a cultural resource and a marketing tool for social and touristic development and the proposal to redefine the gastronomic identity of Xanthi putting indigenous breeds and other local products in the spotlight.

The second pillar will be around tourism branding, new trends in cultural tourism and wellbeing tourism, use of technology and the need for quality management and certification services in the tourism sector that lead to sustainability and fair development.

The workshops that will follow after the conference, aim at bringing together local entrepreneurs with prominent speakers and conference moderators to give them the opportunity to better understand the issues that have been developed at the conference, the proposed touristic product and its various parameters.
